Multifunctional furniture is also very useful for making the most of your space, so a sofa that folds out into a futon bed is a great addition if you need to cater for occasional guests. If you have regular overnight visitors, however – older relatives for example – you’ll need a permanent bed option. Lastly, many spare rooms become a dumping ground for the bits and pieces you can’t find a natural home for, but you need to avoid this as you don’t want the room to feel cluttered. You can box these items up and store them in the garage or attic, but ask yourself if you really need them. A garage sale could be in order!
